Salon Lanson Presents the Hong Kong Odyssey Cocktail Package
For Immediate Release
Presenting a collection of neighbourhood story-themed cocktails paired with canapes

Hong Kong, 6 March 2025 – Salon Lanson is excited to unveil the Hong Kong Odyssey evening cocktail package, which beautifully encapsulates the vibrant flavours and rich heritage of our cherished city. Perfect for happy hour or as a pre-dinner treat, this package features a collection of 21 signature cocktails meticulously crafted by Head Mixologist Manuel Saavedra, each inspired by iconic Hong Kong landmarks and stories. Available on rotation, three unique cocktails are served each evening, offering a delightful journey through the city’s dynamic cultural tapestry.
Each day, the cocktail menu is presented as a beautifully illustrated postcard that captures a lively street scene around the hotel, showcasing the bustling areas of Causeway Bay, Wanchai and Tai Hang. This thoughtful detail invites guests to explore these fascinating neighbourhoods while savouring cocktails infused with the unique narratives of Hong Kong. Guests are also invited to write personal messages on these artistically inspired postcards, which will be sent on their behalf by Salon Lanson.
Among the standout creations is Leighton 133, a refreshing blend of vodka, cucumber, yuzu vinegar, cypress and salt, delivering a long, citrusy and aromatic profile. Named after the hotel’s address, this cocktail beckons guests to savour the flavours and immerse themselves in the diverse and unforgettable stories that envelop Lanson Place.
Another highlight is Fire Gun, a robust concoction of sake, cherry liqueur, whisky, sweet vermouth and bitters, offering a short, strong and complex taste. This drink pays homage to the Noonday Gun, a timekeeping tradition that has reverberated in the city since the 1860s, reflecting the rich historical fabric of Hong Kong.
The Yum Cha Sour provides a modern twist on the classic whisky sour, combining whisky, Darjeeling tea, red wine, lemon and egg white for a floral and citrusy finish inspired by the beloved Cantonese tradition of yum cha.
For those seeking a fruity delight, Forgotten Island features calvados, peach, lemon, soda and egg white, honouring the once vibrant Kellett Island near Causeway Bay.
Meanwhile, Little Ginza, crafted from sake, cherry blossom, Japanese plum wine, bourbon and salt, presents a savoury and salty Martini-style profile. This cocktail nostalgically evokes the fondly remembered era of Causeway Bay from the 1970s to 1990s, when it was affectionately known as Little Ginza.
Named after the once-iconic Hong Kong movie series, the intriguingly crafted Young & Dangerous showcases delicate tea notes with a slightly bittersweet finish. The combination of Earl Grey and chocolate creates an unexpected yet delightful profile, capturing the essence of 1990s nightlife in Causeway Bay in a modernised form.
Adding to this delightful collection is Victoria’s Spritz, a refreshing and citrusy low-alcohol drink that combines Aperol, blood orange, orange blossom water and lemonade, inspired by Queen Victoria’s fondness for oranges, showcased in three distinctive forms.
To enhance the cocktail experience, executive chef Chris Leung has curated three rotating menus, each featuring six exquisite sweet and savoury canapés that delight the senses. Among the spotlighted offerings are the luxurious Foie Gras Parfait, elegantly paired with a sweet and tangy golden raisin chutney; the delicate Hokkaido Scallop Ceviche, beautifully topped with creamy avocado and luscious caviar; the enticing Plancha Grilled Prawns, perfectly complemented by a zesty paprika aioli; the Mini Croque Monsieur, which showcases glazed honey ham and rich Gruyère cheese in a delightful bite-sized format; the savoury Mini Peking Duck Wraps that capture the essence of traditional Cantonese cuisine; the decadent Bailey’s Cheesecake and the refreshing Matcha Panna Cotta, each meticulously crafted to elevate the tasting journey and serve as perfect pre-dinner treats.
