About Pierre-Yves Rochon, the French “master of luxury”

Considered as one of the best interior designers in the world, Pierre-Yves Rochon’s design philosophy centres on creating a refined, comfortable atmosphere that celebrates elegance and warmth while providing a timeless backdrop for an ever-changing modern culture.

His iconic projects include Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris, Peninsula Shanghai, The Ritz-Carlton Tianjin, Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, France, Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, Shangri-La, Paris, and many others. This is Mr. Rochon’s first hotel project in Hong Kong.

Drawing inspiration from the bountiful offerings of nature, the allure of the southern coast of France, and the richness of art deco, our interiors exude an aura of timelessness and warmth, characterized by an interplay of soft hues and sumptuous textures.

What we do in the shadows

Artist: Kristy M Chan, Hong Kong, 2023

Created during the artist’s stay in Hong Kong in 2023, this piece is inspired by Hong Kong’s dazzling energy. The work poignantly captures theexhilarating pace of Hong Kong, the city’s flurry of lights and the luminosity of its skyline against a dark purple horizon. The artist has said that the inspiration behind this work is the sensation of bright city lights flashing by when looking out the window of a minibus dashing through Hong Kong’s dizzying traffic. It captures the spirit of Hong Kong: a sea of lights, a concrete jungle, a city that never sleeps.
