Lanson Place Causeway Bay, Hong Kong To Reopen In March 2024 After Thoughtful Transformation

The flagship property of the Hong Kong personal hotel and serviced residence brand unveils its new design by Pierre-Yves Rochon

Lanson Place Causeway Bay, Hong Kong

Hong Kong, 19 February 2024 – Hong Kong personal hotel and serviced residence brand, Lanson Place Hospitality Management Limited (Lanson Place), is re-opening its flagship Causeway Bay property on 1 March 2024, following a substantial refurbishment.

A stylish, relaxing retreat designed to contrast with the energy and excitement of Causeway Bay, the new-look property offers an elegant and timeless residential feel across its 188 rooms and suites, including six penthouses. Its unique character and unrivalled location will appeal to both business and leisure travellers.

Reflecting on the property’s transformation, Lanson Place Chief Executive Officer Michael Hobson explains: “We’re thrilled with our reimagined flagship as it represents everything that we stand for as a brand. We are also fortunate to have secured world-class designer Pierre-Yves Rochon who has worked his iconic magic on the property.”

Thanks to Rochon’s design vision, the refurbished Lanson Place blends understated French elegance with delicate craftsmanship. The interior design is refined with pure but detailed lines, shapes, colours, and the finest quality natural materials.

Freshly renovated rooms and suites, in a variety of layouts, feature French-inspired designs with a colour palette of soft tones. Floor-to-ceiling windows fill every room with ample natural daylight and offer generous views of the vibrant neighbourhood on the property’s doorstep.

All the rooms, residences, and penthouses are designed to offer flexibility and convenience, with distinct spaces for work, relaxation and entertaining, along with thoughtful amenities.

Salon Lanson houses the property’s restaurant and bar on the first floor, an all-day lounge offering a variety of dining experiences exclusively for hotel guests, from a semi-buffet-style breakfast through to lunch, dinner and evening cocktails.

New meeting areas and zones for business travellers provide all the technology you’ll need in a residential environment. Artworks, designer furniture and lighting create warm tones and curved lines that separate spaces into private cocoons.

A new gym and wellness area is located on the fifth floor, complete with a variety of spaces for training and stretching.

Designer Pierre-Yves Rochon explains what makes the property so unique: “Our renovation respects the DNA of this institution, which is a private, personal hotel, a warm place, a sanctuary within the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong. The key principle has been to respect its soul, creating a timeless address whose character is inspired by nature.”

The hotel is ideally situated in the vibrant Causeway Bay area, close to the city’s major business and commercial hubs but also to the endless options for malls, shops, eateries and bars. Well-known landmarks such as the Peak, Victoria Harbour, Central and the West Kowloon Cultural District can also all be easily reached from Causeway Bay.

“The hotel’s creative, innovative and distinctive offerings will bring new vibrancy to Hong Kong, establishing a compelling destination within the prime location of Causeway Bay while adding an important new and differentiated voice to the city’s luxury hospitality landscape,” adds Lanson Place Chief Executive Officer Michael Hobson.

Slated to re-open in March 2024, Lanson Place Causeway Bay, Hong Kong first opened in 2005 as the flagship of a home-grown Hong Kong brand founded as a subsidiary of Hong Kong-listed Wing Tai Properties, a premium developer of quality residential, commercial and industrial projects, serviced apartments, and boutique hotels.
